Go to Muranos there across street from The Tamale Kitchen on Morrison and Sheridan their tamales are great
Yes
We have been coming to this location for years and my family is from Colorado. Lately before covid happened they've been screwing up our orders I give them the benefit of the doubt but today draws the line we order on phone as usual go to pick up and pay then they have us waiting another 30 min well all the workers are laughing which is unacceptable and unprofessional. There are so many other tamale kitchens might be a drive (plus you drove this far) but there are other tamale kitchens I'll try them out and leave reviews
I have been coming my whole life. I love the food. It’s cheap, you get a lot and of course it’s amazing food.
Historical classic, and always delicious!
Well I been in tamale kitchen before and it was great. Today I visit again and is the worst experience I had. They need some advice on customer service. Food was horrible, dry, and no flavor at all. I usually don't make any reviews but this place earn it. Also they need to clean a little bit better, place smells like a death animal.
Beef prices roses like 10 cents during COVID so they charged an ADDITIONAL $2 for EACH burrito. I’ve deciders to pass on the $8 skimp burrito & go next door instead. Let me know when you guys lower your prices, til then I’ll be going to Alameda Burrito
The past 3 orders we placed have all been wrong, they dont even offer to fix the problem, of course with the Covid issue we order it and pick it up, by the time we get back to the Office we open up our order and find out there are issues, we dont have time to return and wait in line again. So needless to say, one or more of our office does not get to eat. Shame on you people. You have lost us a Customer.........
Tamale kitchen lakewood just lost my business. I oredered 2 beef and bean smothered burritoes. Thru uber. I got 2 beef burritoes smothered. Not a huge deal. Called the store as its not ubers fault. Spoke to javiar. He told me to speak to uber. Nothing he could do, i said uber did not prepare the food and he hung up on me. Absolutely unacceptable. Oh. And no nspkins or plastic ware of any kind. Thanks
Got a beef Mexican egg roll one was amazing the 2nd not even edible
The menu is very fairly priced. The Chile is awesome! Whatever I get is always good and always smothered! Honestly, my favorite is the mexican hamburger.
I went here a lot because the burritos are good size and a good price. Recently the prices went up a lot it's now almost 5 dollars for a breakfast burrito that is just good not great. I will be looking for a new place that has good food at reasonable prices.
I've been going here ever since I was a little kid. The inside really hasn't changed to much. It's a basic mexican food dive. The food hasn't changed but it's still amazing. I always order a Lg Red chili cheese fries. I have never been able to find a similar red chili anywhere else I look. As a kid it would make me hyperventilate from being too spicy but it was always worth it. Other note worthy items are the mexican eggrolls, enchiladas, tamales, and LARGE fountain drinks (won't fit your cars cup holder so don't even try). The staff can be really friendly. And best of all now they even deliver using one of the food delivery apps! There are other locations around town but I don't think any of them live up to this one. So no matter if I'm close to a different location i will still make the extra drive to get to this one.

Absolutely amazing food that I have never had a single issue with, the carne asada fries are definitely my favorite and the customer service is outstanding. This is the only location i like because the other one's aren't quite as good but this place is amazing.
The breakfast burritos here are spectacular. The prices are low and the service is super quick. I don't know what else anyone could possibly ask for!
Good tasting tamales, a little skimpy on the meat. The family meal deals are a good value. Other food items are marginal, taste and quality.
Not sure what the hype is about, just got a dozen of tamales and an order of chicken enchiladas and it was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Save your time and money skip this one.
Delicious. been going for years. A reliable pick always. Vegetarian green chile
Tamale kitchen has awful customer service. They messed up the order. I believe they should of just replaced what they got wrong. Fix your mess ups tamale kitchen. You guys need to fix your customer service.
Best Tamale Kitchen I have tasted by far! Our family loves tamale kitchen and have tried to branch out to other locations but none come close to this one. We love the family pack and can have food for multiple days. My favorite things are their Green Chile, Mexican egg rolls, and their breakfast burritos. It gets busy on weekend mornings so make sure to call ahead to place your order.
Lived here 20 yrs this place is usually busy, finally tried it, been back several times. Nothing bad here! Breakfast, lunch and dinner always good!
Bought 2 grilled steak burritos & 4 mexican egg rolls hand held, came to $27.00.Is it me? Or was that alittle to expensive.
My family has been going here for about 20 years and specifically this location. Obviously we loved the food and I would've raved to our friends and family about this location up until now. Service has gone down a lot, and our orders were repeatedly incorrect. When we tried to call to get assistance on missing items in our order, we were never answered. The morning of, I call and I'm told they can't help me because I needed to call the night of. Not that $37 is a big deal but it is when half your order is missing and/or incorrect. Thanks for not helping us out.... Big let down. We'll be reconsidering other options next time.
Has been a favorite since the mid 90s. Great food and staff.
Best Smothered burritos in Denver! Yum yum! And spicy!
Recently purchased breakfast burritos & beef tacos and was charged $1.50 more each items because of high cost of meat. RIPPING-OFF customers just because you think customers will always come back, food isn't that good. Lost a customer I refuse to pay these prices !
First time customers and they were so nice and patient with our questions. We got our order to go and everything was yummy when we got home. Thank you 😊
This place has delicious beans, rice, and green chili. Cheese enchiladas were delicious! Flavor is yummy! I suggest mild if you can't tolerate spicy. Would have given 5 stars if we didn't wait sooo long. This place is usually always busy though.
This place used to be awesome but nowadays feels like they are taking advantage of us. The burritos at taco bell are bigger and cheaper. Just saying it's not the best for your bucks
This place was pretty disappointing. They gave us the wrong order. The tamales were quite dry. There are way better options in the area.
Sent us this with no silverware. I'm sure it will taste good when we can find something to eat it with. Eat at the tamale kitchens all over town. Food is good. Today we are unhappy.
I have been a customer for a very long time and have lately noticed the prices going up a bit and didn't really think much of it but the other day I wanted some tamales so I stopped in and ordered half dozen tamales and a quart of chili and was shocked to be charged 16.00 dollars for just that!! I really like the food but it's no 5 star and now they charge as if it is a 5 star!! For me I will no longer go there as it's way over priced!!!
good food but long wait...line out the door and even after you order expect 20 minute wait
This is a must visit everytime we are in Denver. The Mexican Eggrolls are amazing.
Tried the Mexican egg rolls, my husband and I are addicted ❤️ Delicious!!!
This place is great always busy but they move you through very fast
I ordered a steak special burrito. It was delicious and made well. It was very busy, but the food came out in under 5 minutes with no problems.
I order using door dash and I was no very happy. I order a barbacoa burrito( choose to make chimichanga) and an egg and chorizo burrito also made into a chimichanga. They where burritos.. the chimichanga was soft like they did not place on fryer long enough. Barbacoa was very greasy. NO salsas on the side for the barbacoa who eats barbacoa with out it or cilantro or onions. The egg was dry on the other chimichanga. Maybe with some salsa, cilantro and onion it would had been a better experience. Delivery was fast.
Other than the vile of what was obviously urine lying on the floor..... their tamales are decent.
One of the best in the city. No joke. Great food, friendly service, amazing prices.
Bought a plate with red chilli the chilli was so hot I could not eat it. It was all over the food and honestly they should have asked if I wanted hot or mild I threw it in the garbage and called them to tell them and they could not have been more disinterested, I have been there several times and find the staff rude and disinterested.
The best tamales in Denver? Maybe they are. What they definitely are is the best price and easy of pick up for some of the best tamales in Denver.Tuesdays they are only .69 cents each or something crazy.
I've been eating here for more than 20 year's. That should tell you how good the food is here. Fast and friendly service. I love this place!
Great food for cheap prices! The tamales are only worth getting on 50 cent tamales Tuesday in my opinion. The green tamales have a little kick to em. Their chicken tacos are amazing as well as their rice and beans. Every time I've gone I have had good customer service. Definitely recommend this place!
Pretty good! Good tortillas and good beans. Cheese was from a bag of shredded cheese though and not hot enough to be melted. Other downsides: smelled weird inside, kind of bad actually, which is unappetizing. Also was way more expensive than I expected. $8.06 for two bean and cheese burritos, 9 bucks after tip. That's not worth it, prices are different from the prices on the pictures of the menu (here on Google)
The food was hot 🔥in a good way
This spot has awesome tamales and I can’t wait to try the other dishes they have available. I moved to the neighborhood a few months ago and heard so much good stuff about this place. It was definitely a must try and while it’s a bit cozy waiting for takeout, there seems to be ample seating for when they do get busy. They even have a small back patio. You must check out this classic spot in Lakewood!
Fast service good size meals lots of good food😂Sat morning da best👍
Used to be cool befor there prices went up so high that only tamales come in there family packs. I remember the good old days.
Really good Mexican. That is high praise from me. Would definitely go back.
I always enjoy going here. The food is really good and the prices are on the lower side!
